About US
Know Her Rights exists to educate and empower the next generation by breaking down complex laws, policies, and court cases in a relatable way so they can understand their rights. We center girls to challenge gender bias and inspire the next generation to be informed, empowered, and ready to lead.
Why It Matters?
Many young people, especially teen girls, lack access to clear information about their rights and how government affects their lives.
-
Only about 20% of youth aged 18-24 vote in elections, compared to 60% of older adults.
-
Girls and young women are underrepresented in political leadership, holding only 28% of elected offices worldwide.
-
Studies show that civic education increases youth participation and empowers young people to advocate for themselves and their communities
By breaking down these systems, Know Her Rights helps close these gaps and inspires the next generation of leaders.
